Russians score wins at French Open

At the French Open in the men’s draw, Russia’s Mikhail Youzhny, seeded 29th, beat 8-seed Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia 6-4 6-4 6-3.
He will now be facing veteran German player Tommy Haas, seeded 12th in round four.

In the women’s draw, Russians Maria Sharapova and countrywoman Maria Kirilenko both celebrated wins in their round 3 matches. In round four the two will be facing Sloane Stephens and Bethanie Mattek-Sands, respectively, both of the U.S.
