Defense Ministry confirmed student's murder

"01.06.2013 at 21:40 it was reported from the Military Institute after Vazgen Sargsyan, that on the same day at 21:05 during the changing of the guard, a third-year student Armen Melkumian shot into the diluent guard classmate Movsisyan Sipan Gagikovich, causing the latter a gunshot wound.

Movsisyan was taken to "St. Gregory the Illuminator" medical center where he died at 22:20." Press secretary of the Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

A criminal case on the grounds of Part 1, Art. 104 of RA Criminal Code (murder) was initiated, a forensic medical examination of S. Movsisyan's body was appointed. Armen Melkumian was arrested, the investigation continues," Hovhannisyan's report says.
