A fire at a poultry processing plant in northeast China killed at least 55 people on Monday, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
More than 300 workers were in the factory in Dehui, Jilin province, when the fire broke out, it said.
"At least 55" died, it reported, citing rescue headquarters.
