RA Syunik Governor's son detained

In a criminal case on the murder of former candidate of mayor of Goris Avetik Budaghyan near the house of the Governor of Syunik region Suren Khachatryan, two citizens have been detained. According to Pastinfo agency, the bodyguard and son of the Governor of Syunik Zarzand Nikoghosian and Tigran Khachatryan have been detained.

Recall on June 1 at night next to the house of Syunik Governor shots were fired. One person was killed and two were wounded. Deceased- former candidate of Mayor of Goris Avo Budaghyan, one of the injured, his brother Artak Budaghyan-commander of the X military unit in NKR, another injured- Nicholas Abrahamyan- realtive and bodyguard of the Governor of Syunik region Suren Khachatryan. Photojournalist reports that shots were fired from "Beretta" hunting rifle. A criminal case on the first ground of 104th article of the RA Criminal Code (murder) and the 235th article (illegal possession, possession and use of weapons).

Participants and possible witnesses to the incident were also detained in the police department, who were questioned. According to Police of the Republic, there are detainees, whose names are not yet known. A preliminary investigation is ongoing.
