On 2 June Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan, paid a visit to the village of Shekher of Martouni region and watched the volleyball tournament held there.

President Sahakyan stressed the importance of carrying out such competitions in the republic's country side adding that the development of physical culture and sports is one of the key components of upbringing the younger generation. The Head of the State thanked French philanthropist Garbis Nikoghosyan for supporting the event.

Chairman of the state committee on sports under the NKR Cabinet of Ministers Razmik Hovsepyan and other officials accompanied the President.
