Mesut Özil said goodbye to his Portuguese manager, José Mourinho in a letter posted on his personal Facebook page in which he thanked him for what he has 'taught' him during their three years together and wished him luck in his new job at Chelsea.

"Dear José Mourinho, people come and go in professional football. It's been three years since he signed me for Real Madrid. During those three years he has taught me a lot and had every faith in me," Özil wrote.
