280 foreign fighters killed in Syria

Over the past 11 months 280 militants from various countries have been killed in Syria. All of those killed were fighting on the side of the Syrian opposition according to a report released on Tuesday by the Washington Institute on the Near East and the New York-based think-tank Flashpoints Global Partners, which does research on terrorism.
The vast majority of the militants were part of the terrorist group Al-Nusra Dzhebhat which is associated with al-Qaeda.
Most of the offenders arrived in Syria from neighboring Arab countries in North Africa and the Middle East.
According to estimates by U.S. experts in the period from July 2012 to May 2013 60 the citizens of Libya, 47 from Tunisia, 44 Saudi Arabians, 32 Jordians, 27 Egyptians and 20 Lebanese nationals were.
