Czech Republic allocates disaster relief, seeks more

The Czech government will allocate 5.3 billion Czech crowns (about 270 million U.S. dollars) to local authorities across the country in order to aid the regions’ recoveries after the recent flooding said the country's Prime Minister Petr Necas.
"The Czech government also intends to ask for funds from the European Solidarity Fund, which is designed to provide aid in the event of natural disasters,” said Necas.
According to the latest information: rescuers evacuated almost 8,500 people all oacross the country and at least 8 people were reported dead.
