"Carrefour" is already in Armenia. This was said during the discussion of the report on the execution of the 2012 budget in the National Assembly of RA by yhe Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Vahram Avanesyan.

According to Avanesyan, employees of French retail chain periodically visit the Ministry, ask questions, and the Ministry of Economics, in turn, strongly contributes to the staff of "Carrefour".

The brand "Carrefour" - a network of hypermarkets, which intends to make investments in Armenia and to open shop here. Feature of the network is that the "Carrefour" imports the products, which he sells, and which has caused considerable concern of Armenian monopoly in the import and retail trade because of the danger of strong competition.

It is for this reason that the oligarchs have prevented the emergence of "Carrefour" in Armenia for a long time.
