Journalists began gathering signatures: the target is NA Speaker Samvel Nokoyan.

Armenian journalist Arman Galoyan, who elucidates the activities of RA parliament, on his Facebook page made a motion calling the journalists covering NA works to join the campaign. The statement mainly reads:

"Dear colleagues, I present my project of gathering signatures in support of Gohar Poghosyan,

The National Assembly Speaker Samvel Nikoyan,

Your instruction of dismissing NA Public Relations Department Chief GOHAR POGHOSYAN on 30.01.2012 aroused great indignation among journalists.

On Dec. 6, 2011, in your pre-election speech you said the following: "During 20 years of independence exemplary traditions have been formed in the RA legislative body, which maintenance and development defender I will become if elected."

Today, however, we record the opposite thing with pain. Gohar Poghosyan has been working at the parliament for more than 20 years. During her tenure Gohar Poghosyan has always been known for her honesty, high professional abilities, devotion towards her country and motherland. Taking the office of NA Public Relations Department Chief, she equally, without discrimination communicated with journalists, regardless of our political views and political orientation of the media. And as a result of her impartial work Poghosyan enjoys the journalists' love and respect.

This behavior towards GOHAR POGHOSYAN we consider unacceptable. We call on you to review and annul the decision of dismissing Gohar Poghosyan from the position of Chief of NA Public Relations Department."
