During Margar Ohanyan's trial today, Judge of the court of general jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts Mkhitar Pipoyan read the appeal that eyewitness Yeghishe Yengibaryan had filed during the previous trial, photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan informed LURER.com.
In his appeal, Yengibaryan had mentioned that he had given testimonies that went against the testimony that he had given during the preliminary inquiry "due to his state of confusion" during the trial.
Culprit Margar Ohanyan clearly remembers that the eyewitness was not confused.
"It is clear to me that the eyewitness was under pressure to file the appeal, but I can't say who pressured him," said Margar Ohanyan. The latter went against the defendant, which petitioned to call the eyewitness to court and find out whether the testimony given in court or the testimony given during the preliminary inquiry was right. "We shouldn't call him," said Margar Ohanyan and closed the subject. At the end of today's trial, Margar Ohanyan said he would say "why Yeghishe had changed his testimony" in his own testimony.
The journalist also informed that the NA former MP, Etchmiatsin resident Hakob Hakobyan [a.k.a. 'Tchoyt'] was also present at the session.
