Providing housing to people in the earthquake zone is among this year’s priorities of Armenia’s Ministry of Urban Development.
A number of families will be provided with housing before the end of this year, Armenian Minister of Urban Development Vardan Vardanyan told journalists Wednesday.
“We have no financial problems for implementing the program. At present, the construction has been suspended because of the weather. But we are going to provide housing to the beneficiaries this year,” the minister said. The construction companies present fortnightly reports to the ministry.
A list of 7,000 beneficiaries is ready, Vardanyan said. It will be studied until mid-April, and the beneficiaries will be named this May.
