The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is increasing its investments in Armenia by every year, according to Thomas Lubek, the IFC regional head for the Caucasus.
Speaking to reporters after the signing of an agreement between Armenia's Government and World Bank Consulting Services, Lubek said that this year alone, they invested $40 million in different sectors in Armenia.
Asked why the IFC does not invest funds in the tourism sector, he said that they do not have special preferences, noting in the meantime that the Corporation’s first investment in the country was the construction of the Armenia Mariott hotel.
