Elections are also approaching in Armenia's Trade Union Confederation. During the autumn's congress new head of the Confederation will be elected. The current head Edward Tumasyan has expressed eagerness to be nominated for this position again. The latter's possible election caused indignation for part of the staff.

The head of the universities' trade union branch republican union Garnik Vagharshakyan, during the talk with LURER.com correspondent, estimated his current director's this step as spontaneous, which 'fruits' they now gather. According to his words, Tumasyan did no substantial work during his term, even did not promote to the work efficiency of the Confederation's individual unions. Vagharshakyan's about 50 letters addressed to his director remained unanswered.
