"Yerkir": Yerevan State Medical University has a new rector candidate.

The ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Karen Avagyan, who is also RPA Youth Organization Board Chairman for the past six years, wishes to become the rector of Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU), Yerkir writes, referring to the information it has received.

“He is currently defending his doctoral [thesis], which is a mandatory prerequisite for being ‘designated’ to the Rector’s position. He has graduated from YSMU Faculty of Medicine, and he continued his postgraduate [studies] in Germany,” Yerkir writes.
