Businessmen don’t know nature of business in Armenia.

There are many women in Armenia who are registered as managers and organizers, but really aren't.

"For some reasons, their husbands or other male members of their families and friends have registered the business under the given woman's name, but, to a great extent, she hasn't been aware how her business is registered," said President of the Armenian Young Women's Association Lilit Asatryan.

She is certain that more women would be doing business in Armenia, if there weren't any legislative hindrances.

"The problem is not being or not being in shady economy, but the taxing legislation. Even though reforms are taking place, I don't think they contribute to the development of small and medium enterprises," says Asatryan.
