Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister had meetings in Iran.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan is in Iran for a working visit to participate in the political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries. The delegation headed by Shavarsh Kocharyan met with the deputy minister of Iran for Asia, Oceania and CIS Seyed Abbas Araghchi. MFA press office reported that the deputy foreign ministers highlighted the necessity of conduction of consultations and expansion of legal-contractual field.

The interlocutors hailed the level of cooperation between the two countries and stressed the importance of reciprocal visits of the presidents of the two countries in 2011.

The deputy ministers of the two countries also discussed the process of implementation of economic programs between the two countries.

On the same day Foreign Minister of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi received Shavarsh Kocharyan. The latter conveyed to the Iranian minister the warm wishes of Edward Nalbandian. Minister Salehi noted that Iran rates high the development of relations with Armenia.
