"Yerkir": Sasun Mikayelyan celebrated his victory.

It seems the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) member, and candidate for mayoral elections in Hrazdan city, Sasun Mikayelyan is not too disappointed by the results of the elections, in which he lost; and, what is more, he held a huge celebration event together with his entire team on Tuesday, Yerkir daily writes.

‘“He gathered the whole team and celebrated their very good work, and the victory of the very high—46 percent—active voters,’ [opposition member] Aram Manukyan told Yerkir’s reporter yesterday [Wednesday]. To note, our reporter was able to telephone Sasun Mikayelyan, on the very same day, but a confused young man answered in his stead and advised to call back later. He could hardly hear us in the noise. It became apparent that there was a celebration. Sasun Mikayelyan was probably celebrating the fact that, owing to the 11 thousand votes in Hrazdan, he has appeared on the transitory spot of ANC’s proportional [election] list [for the upcoming parliamentary elections],” Yerkir writes.
