Hovhannes Tamamyan`s court hearing was postponed until March 6.

As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan informed LURER.com from court, the trial of former Chief of the Police Force Criminal Investigation Department, Police Major General Hovhannes Tamamyan, resumed on Thursday at capital Yerevan’s Kentron and Nork Marash General Jurisdiction Court.

And at the beginning of the session, the presiding judge informed that from now on a public defender will provide legal defense for defendant V. Khanzadyan. The public defender asked for time to prepare for the case.

So, the Court adjourned until March 6.

Hovhannes Tamamyan is under custody since March 24, 2011, and he is charged with abuse of power, which has caused serious consequences, and he pleads not guilty.
