Zhirinovsky’s statements on Central Asian republics unacceptable, humiliating

Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan consider statements by LDPR (Liberal Democratic Party of Russia) leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky that Central Asian republics should be part of Russia unacceptable and humiliating.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the LDPR leader’s statements “express bewilderment. The statements run counter to strategic partnership between the two countries countries”.
“Being an official and deputy speaker of the State Duma, lower house of Russia’s parliament, Zhirinovsky makes unacceptable statements, which humiliate the Kyrgyz people’s feelings,” the ministry said.
“We expect the Russian authorities to give an assessment to Zhirinovsky’s statements and their contents’ conformity to Russia’s policy towards Kyrgyzstan,” it said.
