Obama orders to sanction Russian officials undermining democratic institutions in Ukraine

The White House has announced on Thursday that President Barak Obama issued an administrative order introducing sanctions against Russian officials and organizations "threatening sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine".

In particular, visa restrictions are introduced for individuals "responsible for undermining democratic institutions in Ukraine".
In addition, the White House noted in its message that it is ready to consider further steps and sanctions if needed and with regard to the developments in Ukraine.
