Two people were wounded after an attack at protesters’ camp in Bangkok. Erawan medical center affiliated to Bangkok’s administration reported this on Friday.
According to police, an unidentified person opened gunfire at protesters’ positions near the metropolitan Lumpini Park. A man and a woman that participated in the protest movement received gunshot wounds.
The attack on oppositionists’ camp became the first in this week. Earlier, the oppositionists’ enforced the routes of approach to the park 57 hectares in area using sandbags.
According to protesters’ leader Suthep Thaugsuban, March 11, a series of meetings aimed at discussing the reforms plan should start in Lumpini Park. Among the participants of the events are named leading Thai scientists.
In the period of political unrest that continues in the country for four months, 23 people died and more than 700 were wounded.
