IT Development Council holds meeting
Armenia
The meeting discussed the implementation of the tasks set at the Council’s previous meeting, state purchases issues and problems of grant programs. The premier instructed the relevant agencies to find solutions.
The meeting listened to a report on the creation and development of robot-building groups in Armenia, particularly on the program “Robot-building begins at school.” Overall, 160 robot-building groups have been created throughout Armenia, and this number is expected to be tripled. The groups will facilitate the employment of thousands of young people. Armenia’s premier welcomed the private sector’s offer to render financial aid to the groups.
Premier Tigran Sargsyan instructed relevant bodies to draft proposals to post all the bills on the official website of Armenia’s Ministry of Justice.
Summing up the meeting, the premier said:
“The IT Development Council includes private sector representatives. The aim is that we receive signals from the real sector, to be informed of the IT sector’s problems, for the government to promptly respond and find solutions.”
