Good neighborhood best policy for each country - Azerbaijani FM.

Good-neighborly relations are the best policy for each country, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has said, commenting on the recent meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani intellectuals.

Speaking at a news conference in Baku, the Azeri top diplomat noted that more frequent meetings in such format would contribute to peace in the South Caucasus region.

“We do believe that peace and stability will soon be established in the region,” he said, according to Trend.az.

The third meeting between the representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani intellectual circles was held in Baku on February 22. The discussion was held behind closed doors.

Speaking to the Azerbaijani website earlier, President the Azerbaijani State National Conservatory Siyavush Kerimi said the discussion had also focused on possible ways of settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in a peaceful manner.
