Cafesjian Center for the Arts launches new educational programs

The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) launches two new educational programs: Magical Labyrinth and City Hundertwasser based on the exhibition Friedensreich Hundertwasser: Regentag. The centre informed “Armenpress” that, artist, architect and visionary ecologist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000) is undeniably one of the most vibrant and controversial characters of the 20th century post war art. The Regentag portfolio (Look at it on a Rainy Day) from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection is one of Hundertwasser’s major works featuring ten silkscreen prints. In the first part of programs, the participants will have a tour in the exhibition gallery and get familiarized with Hundertwasser’s works, his concepts and style. The second part will continue at the Creative Hall of CCA, where the participants of Magical Labyrinth program will create their “hundertwasserian” works with provided natural materials inspired by the artist's vision.

The participants of City Hundertwasser program will watch a power-point presentation on Hundertwasser’s architecture, prior to the creative process. At the end of this program, they will create cityscape maquettes, inspired by the artist's architectural ideas and philosophy. 

In the frames of the second program the Cafesjian Center for the Arts will collaborate with Urbanlab Yerevan Architectural Office. The Magical Labyrinth program is designed for schools and families with children aged 5+, and the City Hundertwasser for teenagers (aged 14 +) and adults. These programs are a unique opportunity for participants to discover the work and philosophy of Friedensreich Hundertwasser and enjoy the joyful and creative atmosphere of the museum.
