Russia ready to consider multi-party format of Ukrainian settlement talks — Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Moscow is ready to consider a multi-party format of talks over Ukrainian settlement, involving European countries, the United States, Russia and Ukraine.
"Indeed, we are ready to consider a multi-party format representing Europe, the USA, Russia and Ukraine," the diplomat said on Tuesday.

Lavrov, speaking after a meeting with his Angolan counterpart Georges Rebelo Chikoti said Ukraine's South and East should also be represented at these talks.
Ignoring the resentment in the south and east of Ukraine will foil work in any format, Lavrov noted.
"We call for representation of Ukraine’s South and East at these negotiations," he said.
