The government of Crimea is ready to transfer carbon deposits on the shelf of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov to the Russian giant "Gazprom," Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Nikolai Yanaki told journalists.
Yanaki pointed out that the Crimean government wants to have the land deposits left in the ownership of Crimea, but it was prepared to turn over the deposits on the sea shelf into the management of Russian companies.
The owners of licenses to the shelf deposits should re-register their licenses in accordance with the Russian legislation, Yanaki said, adding the authorities would specify a period when the licenses could be renewed.
