Russia appreciates Jordan’s contribution to settling issues in Midlle East — Putin

Russia appreciates Jordan’s tangible contribution to settling complex processes in the Middle East, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan.

At the beginning of the meeting, Putin cordially welcomed King Abdullah II to Moscow, saying that long-standing relations between the two countries were based on friendship and mutual understanding.

“We appreciate your contribution to settling complex processes in the Middle East,” Putin said. He expressed hope that in the course of today’s meeting both bilateral cooperation and the situation in the region would be discussed.
