Protest action hits Azerbaijani Guba region (Video).

A protest action has been held in front of the Baku`s Guba Region Executive Power's building today, Today.az reports.

Those, who took part in an unauthorized rally, demanded resignation of Executive Power Head Rauf Habibov, protesting against his recent statements.

As the rally was unauthorized, police were drawn up to the scene.

According to available information, the rally participants damaged a number of buildings.

Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov and MP from Guba region Vahid Ahmedov addressed the rally participants, calling them for calm and they promised to solve all the problems.

Mammadov said problems of Guba residents were always approached attentively. “To burn a house is not a solution to the problems. I apologize to you on behalf of the head of Guba executive power. All problems will be solved. One cannot give way to such sabotages”.

Ahmadov said all detained persons would be released. Four people – three police and one protester were injured during a protest action in Guba region today.

Guba is located 168 km north of Baku.
