Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received a distress call, on Thursday, informing that a road accident had occurred in the capital Yerevan, there were injured, and rescuers were needed.
A rescue squad and an operative team, together with paramedics and a firefighting squad, were dispatched to the scene.
It was found out that a Mitsubishi Pajero had gone off road, for yet undetermined reasons, and rolled into the adjacent small valley, photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan informed LURER.com.
But prior to the rescuers’ arrival, an emergency team transferred the driver—Ararat Kh., 33—and the passenger—Y. I., 29—to hospital. The doctors say the injured are in stable but serious condition.
The fire and rescue teams carried out measures to prevent the vehicle from exploding.
