Armenian Parliament adopted Government's bill on "Funded Pensions"

By the second reading the Parliament fully adopted the bill on making amendments and supplements to the "Funded Pensions" Law introduced by the Government. As reports "Armenpress", 67 MPs voted in favor of the bill, 18 against, and 29 abstained.

Before the voting the “Rule of Law” faction leader Hovhannes Margaryan delivered a speech on the order, noting that they had introduced a proposal to the bill, according to which the citizens, reluctant to participate in the funded pension system, should not write a direct application and thus refuse to participate, which was not accepted by the Government. "Taking into consideration, that our proposal has not been accepted, I would like to inform that the “Rule of Law” party will vote against the bill" - said Margaryan.
