According to eyewitnesses, detachment members dressed in black entered a downtown Yerevan discotheque on Friday night, Zhoghovurd daily writes.
“By the way, this [nightclub] is the gathering place of primarily Iranians. According to the eyewitnesses, the special detachment members had worn black masks and were armed. And for the most part, their vehicles had [National Security Service] NSS license plates. It was impossible to clearly ascertain the cause of the operation; and the NSS and the Police Force said they had no such information. Our sources, on the other hand, suspect that the operation could have been linked to crimes dealing with either child trafficking, or illegal drugs,” Zhoghovurd writes.
