Sevan will have amateur fishing beach

The "Sevan" National Park plans to set up an amateur fishing beach on the left part of Sevan -Lchashen highway. As “Armenpress” was informed by the “Sevan" National Park Deputy Director Vahe Gulanyan, the fishermen constantly crowd at that part of the lake, and this fact gave rise to such an initiative. "There will be a structure like a public beach, where amateur fishing will develop. In other words, the people will not swim or relax on that beach, for it is intended to be only for the fishermen. For this purpose the lake beach will be cleaned and the necessary conditions will be created" - said Gulanyan. He noted that the establishment of the amateur fishing beach is linked with certain financial costs, and he did not clarify when it will be opened.

Gulanyan said that this year, due to the weather conditions, the opening of the summer season is planned from July 1. This year the 3 public beaches will function, and in addition, 2 more beaches will be set up. "Upon the decision of the Government it is planned to set up 9 beaches, but due to the lack of investments, these numbers still cannot be reached. Secondly, the key issue for us now is to take care of the costs of the functioning public beaches" - he said. This year, too, "Sevan" National Park has projects related with eco-tourism. Gulanyan said that the eco-tourism routs will function, which supposes coming close to the nature, sightseeing.
