Representatives of parties discuss concept of Constitutional reforms

With the participation of the representatives of the Armenian political parties, the public discussion on the initial concept of the Constitutional reforms has launched. As reports “Armenpress”, in the opening speech Head of the EU Delegation in Armenia
Trian Hristea highlighted such discussions and welcomed the fact that the public discussion is attended by the members of different political parties, especially the representatives of all the factions of the National Assembly. "It is very important that the interested parties decide whether there is a need for reforms at this stage or not, and if yes, then in what direction they should be carried out.

The subject of the two-day discussion will be the issue of the protection of the rule of law, as well as which management system is right for Armenia and to what extent the Constitutional reforms are associated with the electoral system reforms” – noted Hristea, adding that no matter what management system will be elected in the Constitution, changes in the electoral system may be implemented.
