Obama went out of White House for coffee, violating security norms

U.S. President Barack Obama slipped out of the White House for a run to a nearby Starbucks, without the White House reporters who normally accompany him when he leaves the White House. As reports “Armenpress”, this information was received from
the U.S. media.
Obama and chief of staff Denis McDonough left the White House at mid-afternoon. The two headed for Starbucks, walking a block down Pennsylvania Avenue and avoiding most reporters. By the time a hastily assembled pool of journalists caught up with them, Obama and his chief of staff were headed back to the White House, cups in hand. As they went, Obama greeted the crowd, waving, shaking hands, even blowing kisses.
When a reporter yelled out, "how is the coffee?" Obama replied, "it is tea!" This short trip is the second time he has taken an unscheduled walk out of the White House in the middle of the day. The last time, forgoing the motorcade on the way to an event at the Interior Department, he joked that he was like a circus bear off its chain, and “the bear is loose”. This time he repeated that remark as he left the White House.
