Armenian wrestlers prepare for European Youth Championship

On June 17-22, in the Polish city Katowice the European Wrestling Youth Championship will kick off. As the head coach of Armenia's Greco-Roman wrestling youth team Armen Babalaryan says, from June 8 they are starting the final phase of the preparation for this important competition. In Abovyan Sports Complex guided by Babalaryan and two assistant-coaches: Movses Karapetyan and Seyran Gevorgyan, 22 wrestlers will participate in training camp, which will last until June 18. Armenia's Greco-Roman wrestling youth team, on 19 June, will leave for Poland, a day after, the wrestlers’ weighing ceremony will take place, and the tournament will be held on June 21-22. As Babalaryan says, before the continent's strongest wrestlers participate in this responsible contest, various training-sports events have been held for them, national team candidates have participated in several international tournaments, which give an opportunity to get prepared for the championship as well as possible, and that means that the Federation of Wrestling of Armenia did its best to create all the necessary conditions for the young Armenian wrestlers to successfully compete in Katowice.
