Bad weather closes highways in Armenia.

Armenia’s interstate highways are difficult to pass as of Monday at 10:30 a.m.
Five villages in the Aragatsotn Region have no electricity, due to blizzard and strong winds, but repair work is underway, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informs.
Selim Mountain Pass, the Verin Getashen-Madina, Berd-Chambarak, Alagyaz-Norashen, Urtsadzor-Lanjar, Gyumri-Spitak, Gyumri-Ashotsk, and Gyumri-Amasia highways, and the local roads in Talin and Aparan cities are closed due to snowstorm, black ice, and low visibility.
The Yerevan-Hrazdan, Yerevan-Zovuni, Dilijan-Sevan, Alapars-Solak, Tsovak-Akhpradzor highways and the Lanjik-Mastara motorway are difficult to drive.
Snow removal and road cleaning are in progress.
And according to the information received from Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department, as of Monday at 10:30 a.m., the weather has considerably deteriorated in Georgia; and there is low visibility and a danger of avalanche.
The Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is closed.
