18-year-old Smolensk girl wins Miss Russia-2012.

Itar-Tass - 18-year-old Yelizaveta Golovanova from the Russian town of Smolensk has won the country’s Miss Russia-2012 beauty contest.

Last year's Miss Russia, Natalia Gantimurova, and Miss World-2011, Ivian Sarcos, placed the $1million crown on Golovanova's head.

The winner also received $100,000 as well as a grant to study at any university worldwide.

Now Golovanova will be representing Russia at international contests, including Miss World-2012 and Miss Universe-2012.
