Roads and mountain passes hard for traffic or closed in Armenia.
Emergency Case
Armenia’s interstate highways and mountain passes are difficult to drive, for the most part, as of Wednesday at 10 a.m.
There is black ice on some road sections, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informs.
Selim Mountain Pass, the Berd-Chambarak and some sections of the Kapan-Kajaran-Meghri highways, and the local roads of Akhpradzor, Shatjrek, Madina, Ttujur, Nigavan, Lusagyugh, Saralanj, Chknagh, Norashen, Dzoraglukh, Jrambar, Apna, Vardenut, Aragats, Tsaghkashen, Sipan, Berkarat, and Avshen villages are closed.
Snow removal and road cleaning are in progress.
And according to the information received from Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department, as of Wednesday at 9 a.m., the weather has considerably deteriorated in Georgia; and there is low visibility and a danger of avalanche.
The Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is closed.
