Ten people died in Moscow metro train crash – Deputy Mayor

Ten people died in a Moscow metro train derailment, Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov said. "The death toll is 10 people," he said.
An incident occurred in the Moscow metro during the morning rush hours, as three metro train cars filled with passengers derailed in the underground tunnel. The metro incident took place at a section between metro stations Slavyansky Bulvar and Park Pobedy running under a governmental highway.
Ninety-five people have been hospitalized, while 50 of them are in a serious condition.
Several people were stuck for about an hour in an underground tunnel between metro stations Park Pobedy and Slavyansky Bulvar, as a metro train car filled with passengers derailed on Moscow’s Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya blue metro line on Tuesday, eyewitnesses told ITAR-TASS.
Eyewitnesses estimate that at least 100 people have been injured.
Emergency response teams and ambulance crews are working at the scene. Sixty-six busses have been organized additionally to transport passengers from Kiyevskaya to Molodezhnaya metro stations of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. It is recommended that people use other metro lines moving in the direction of Moscow region.
