Emergency Case
Armenia’s interstate highways and mountain passes are difficult to drive, for the most part, and some local roads are closed as of Thursday at 9 a.m.
There is black ice on some road sections, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informs.
Selim Mountain Pass, “Zanger” section of the Yerevan-Meghri Highway, the Kajaran-Meghri, Berd-Chambarak, Verin Getashen-Madina, and Sevan-Lchashen highways, and the local roads of several villages are closed.
The local roads of Akhpradzor village, and the Gyumri-Ashotsk, Artik-Maralik, Artik-Mantash, and Kapan-Goris-Sisian highways are difficult to drive.
Snow removal and road cleaning are in progress.
And according to the information received from Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department, as of Wednesday at 11 p.m., the weather has considerably deteriorated in Georgia; and there is low visibility and a danger of avalanche.
The Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is closed.
