Putin says no military threat today to Russian sovereignty

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there is “no military threat, no threat to sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country as of today.”
“The strategic balance of forces in the world guarantees this,” Putin said addressing a session of the Russian Security Council on Tuesday.
The president said Russia “strictly abides by the norms of the international law and obligations given to its partners.”
Putin also said he hoped that other countries would be taking Russia’s national interests into account, while disputable issues would be solved legally.

Russia will adequately and coherently respond to the approach of NATO military infrastructure to the Russian borders, Russia's President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Russian Security Council on Tuesday.
“We will adequately and coherently respond to the approach of NATO military infrastructure to our borders and will not overlook the deployment of the global missile defense system and building up of the strategic precision weapons’ stockpiles,” he said.
NATO is demonstratively reinforcing its grouping in Eastern Europe, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.
“What is actually taking place? In actual fact, NATO is demonstratively reinforcing its grouping on the territory of East European states, including in the areas of the Black and Baltic Seas,” Putin told a meeting of Russia’s Security Council.

Color Revolutions immunity
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that any type of the so-called ‘color revolutions’ scenarios would be ineffective in Russia as the Russian citizens would never yield to such methods imposed from abroad.
“Definitely such directly imposed methods on Russia would fail,” Putin said speaking at a session of the Russian Security Council on Tuesday.
“Our people…, citizens of Russia would never allow this and never accept it,” Putin said adding that attempts from abroad to destabilize the public and political situation in Russia are made to make the country look vulnerable on the world arena.

Malaysia airliner crash investigation

Russia will do everything possible for a full and transparent investigation of a Malaysian airliner crash in east Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.
“Russia will do everything possible for a full-fledged, comprehensive, profound and transparent investigation,” Putin said at a meeting of Russia’s Security Council.
The Malaysia Airlines Boeing-777 airliner en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in the area of combat operations between local militias and Ukrainian governmental troops in east Ukraine’s Donetsk region on Thursday, July 17. All 298 people aboard the plane died in the air crash.
Putin once again expressed condolences to the families of all those killed in the crash.
“We are urged to exert influence on the self-defense fighters of the southeast. Let me repeat again, we’ll of course do everything that is in our power,” the head of the Russian state said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasised the need to urge the Kiev authorities for investigating the Boeing 777 tragedy.
Russia will do its best to make the investigation full-fledged and transparent, Putin said on Tuesday.

“We’ll do everything possible to influence militia in the southeast. But it is insufficient,” he said.
He expressed indignation over Ukraine’s tank attack on Donetsk when the jet’s black boxes were given to Malaysian experts. “Tanks broke into a railway station. It was under fire,” Putin said.
“Finally, it is necessary to urge the Kiev authorities to observe the basic norms of decency and cease fire for any time to investigate the Boeing 777 tragedy,” he said.
