The Situation on the Frontline

Special Purpose Forces of the opponent initiated a subversive act in the south eastern direction (Martuni “Yusufjanlu” ) of the contact line between the conflicting forces at about 23:00 p.m, August 5.
The opponent was thrown back to the initial position after the Defense Army divisions took adequate actions. The Azeri side recorded one killed/Sahil Yasharoghlu Tarlan/ and several wounded soldiers.
Apart from the afore-mentioned subversive act, the ceasefire regime was violated 370 times by the opponent along the whole of the front line from August 5-6. 7000 shots were fired from weapons of different caliber in the direction of the Armenian Forces.
The attack attempts of the opponent were suspended as a result of the adequate actions of the Defense Army. Currently, the Armenian Forces keep the state border of the NKR under full control.
