Armenia’s interstate highways and mountain passes are drivable, for the most part, as of Tuesday at 10:15 a.m.
But there is black ice on some road sections, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informs.
Selim Mountain Pass, and the Goris-Sisian (due to strong blizzard and low visibility), Saralanj, Nigavan, Jrambar, Alagyaz-Tsaghkahovit, Yernjatap-Norashen, Ara-Vardenut-Aragats, Verin Getashen-Madina-Akhpradzor, and Tsakkar-Tsovasar road sections are closed.
The Alagyaz-Norashen Highway is difficult to pass.
Snow removal and road cleaning are in progress.
And according to the information received from Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department, as of Tuesday at 10:15 a.m., the weather has considerably deteriorated in Georgia; and there is low visibility and a danger of avalanche.
The Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is closed.
