The court postponed the trial of former RA Road Patrol Chief Margar Ohanyan, who is charged with misusing his official post and appropriating 2,480,720 liters of benzene, causing the government huge damage.
LURER.com photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the court of general jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts in Yerevan reports that the trial was postponed since Margar Ohanyan's attorney, Mkrtich Vasakyan hadn't shown up to court. The judge announced that Vasakyan was in poor health condition and had notified the court about that.
The previous trial was also postponed since another culprit of the case, commander of the 2nd police squad Stepan Karakhanyan's attorney, Lianna Grigoryan hadn't shown up to the trial due to poor health condition.
The investigation is over and is in the stage of dispute between the parties. The prosecutor had to read the accusatory speech and demand the punishment for the former Road Patrol Chief and the other culprits today.
