Armenia’s Ministry of Diaspora launched the www.armdiasporamuseum.com website, the Virtual Museum of Armenian Diaspora, on Tuesday.
The website contains information on the Armenian reality, past and present of the Armenia-Diaspora-Artsakh relations.
Armenia’s Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobian noted that the project is an attempt to integrate the Armenian Diaspora’s values with community and national values.
“Today we can say that one more pan-Armenian project has become a reality, providing an e-summary of different diasporic organizations’ activities. By means of this website we are trying to present our values and churches,” Hakobian said.
She noted that creating such a museum requires serious professional work, and the Ministry of Diaspora did its utmost for the website to contain accurate information. More information will be added to the website in the course of time…
As far back as 2007, the Armenian Family Tree project was launched in Armenia. The project facilitated collection of accurate information.
The website has Armenian, Russian and English versions. Minister Hakobian said that a Western Armenian version will be launched as well.
A total of AMD 6m were allocated from Armenia’s state budget for the website.
