Tense atmosphere in Mashtots park. The only one tent was removed from the park (Video).

The police have taken away the tent of the environmental activists in Mashtots Park in Yerevan, activist Lilit Ghazaryan told LURER.com.

According to her, the police roughly tore the tent and took it away, in spite of the sleeping activists inside.

Currently the activists have gathered in the park and are shouting ‘Shame on you’. As the activists inform, a large number of police officers is gathered in the park who probably want to prevent the activists spending the night in the tent but they have not demanded the activists to leave yet.

There has not been any fight between the activists and the police officers but the atmosphere in the park is tensed.

To note, an agreement had been made between Yerevan city deputy police chief Robert Nazatyan and the activists that the activists would not set the second tent and the police would not prevent the activists from spending the night in the tent.
