Mashtots Park environmentalists` protest was again ignored (Video).

Today again the protest of the environmental activists referring Yerevan`s Mashtots park wasn`t heard. Armenia’s Government during its today`s session decided to dismantle the Mashtots Park pavilions in Yerevan downtown in three years.

The Government approved the dismantling state property draft project submitted by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan. The Mayor offers to dismantle the pavilions, as soon as Old Yerevan project will be launched. In fact, a decision was made which is consistent with the positions of the prime minister and mayor that only permanent constructions are subject of dismantling. 

The environmentalists are sure that the public area can`t be used for business purposes, even if this money goes to Yerevan municipality budget. The activists are also indignant as a result of the scandal broken out on Wednesday evening when police took away the tent of the environmental activists. 

To note, the Armenian environmentalists, who are demonstrating against the installation of kiosks at capital Yerevan’s Mashtots Park, announced they are starting a 24/7 sit-in at the Park on Monday.
