The delegation of the specialists of the sphere of urban development of Lyon is in Yerevan

The Chief Arhitect of Yerevan Tigran Barseghyan had a meeting with the delegation of the experts arrived in Yerevan from Lyon, France. The delegation included the architects and urban development specialists of the Lyon urban development agency, the director of the landscaping agency of Lyon, specialists of transport companies.

Greeting the initiative and willingness of the guests in the issue of strengthening the cooperation between Yerevan and Lyon the Chief Architect of Yerevan expressed confidence that the meetings provided for by the schedule of the visit, the tours and thematic discussions will outline new perspectives for cooperation between the two sister-cities. “We’ re going to present a number of projects and approaches related to urban development, landscaping and transport spheres of Yerevan and as a result of this we expect new practical proposals”, said Tigran Barseghyan.

The co-leader of the Yerevan-Lyon cooperation project, the representative the department of foreign relations of Grand yon Suzan Page stressing the involvement of various experts in the delegation noted that the cooperation between Yerevan and Lyon has a big potential therefore they will make the visit maximally useful. The director of “Yerevanproject” CJSC Sirekan Ohanyan, the head of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Municipality of Yerevan David Ohanyan, the head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Development Andranik Kasaryan, experts of the corresponding departments of the Municipality took part in the meeting too.
