Transneft to transfer over 3.5 bln roubles to Primorsky Territory budget in 2014

Russia’s oil major Transneft will transfer more than 3.5 billion roubles (77.8 million U.S. dollars) intaxes to the budget of Russia’s Far Eastern Primortsky Territory in 2014, Transneft-Far East press service told TASS on Thursday.
In all, the Far Eastern territories crossed by the oil pipeline Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) will receive more than nine billion roubles (200.1 million U.S. dollars).
The biggest sums - three and more than 3.5 billion roubles - according to the press service, will go to the Amur Region and Primorsky Territory with their longest oil pipeline sections. The Khabarovsk Territory, which has two pumping stations and is home to the company’s eastern office, will receive 1.6 billion roubles (35.5 million U.S. dollars), and a sum of one billion roubles (22.2 million U.S. dollars) will go to the Jewish autonomous region.
“Taxes to the regional budgets have increased by 25-25% on the previous year. The biggest growth of profit tax was reported in 2013, the company said.
The Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline runs from Taishet in the Irkutsk region to the oil port of Kozmino in the Primorsky Territory. The 4,740-kilometre pipeline links oil field in Western and Eastern Siberia with markets in the Asia-Pacific region and the United States. The 2,047-kilometre second line of the ESPO-2 pipeline runs via Far Eastern territories.
In the first six months of 2014, a total of 11.1 million tonnes of oil was pumped to the port of Kozmino via ESPO-2. From Kozmino, oil is shipped to nine countries of the Asia Pacific region by oil tankers. The biggest oil buyers are Japan, China and South Korea. In the second half of 2014, it is planned to export 11.6 million tonnes of oil from the Kozmino port. With these plans implemented, annual oil exports via Kozmino will reach 23 million tonnes.
